Welcome to the CHICA Manitoba website. My name is Tammy Barre and I am excited to be your chapter president for 2013.
I am honoured to have been nominated to carry on the work that has been accomplished over the years by the previous executives. The CHICA Manitoba chapter has many dedicated and committed experts who promote professional growth in infection prevention and control while ensuring patient /client safety. CHICA Manitoba promotes and encourages networking, collaboration, and professional development. It is my hope that through my efforts and the efforts of this year's executive that we continue to inspire others professionally.
June 2013, I started my new career as an infection Prevention and Control Practitioner. It has been an extremely steep learning curve and I find that I continue to learn something new every day. The members of CHICA Manitoba Chapter have supported my professional growth by providing a supportive network and learning opportunities thru chapter education / journal discussions, the CHICA Manitoba annual education conference and the CHICA Manitoba retreat day.
