CHICA Southern Alberta (CHICA-SA)
CHICA-SA Meetings
CHICA-Southern Alberta meets nine times per year, usually on the first Wednesday afternoon of the month. See the attached schedule for specific dates. In 2011 a membership survey was conducted, and the meeting format has been restructured as a result. The focus of the meetings will be on education and networking, with chapter business taking on a secondary role. Meetings are teleconferenced for those members who are unable to travel.
Basic format:
- 12:15 to 1415 – Education and networking
- 1415 to 1500 – Chapter business
Special formats:
In conjunction with the biennial conferences presented by CHICA-Northern Alberta and CHICA-Southern Alberta (each held on alternating years), there will be a joint meeting. This is a special opportunity to network with our colleagues from around the province. These conferences are usually held in the fall.
The June meeting is a year-end social, with individuals who were able to attend the CHICA-Canada conference reporting back to the remainder of the membership. Due to the timing of the national conference, this meeting usually occurs on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. A buffet luncheon is catered.
