My name is Monique Liarakos, your Manitoba Chapter President for 2009. This year promises change, growth and progress - as we watch along with the world, the unfolding of a long overdue history, we are all instilled with hope and anticipation!
It is truly an honour to lead the chapter during this exciting time. I look forward to all the potential and possibility that lies before us as a chapter, and our ability to foster a culture of infection prevention and health promotion for all Manitobans.
The chapter’s most precious commodity is our people – our members provide an abundance of knowledge, and a wealth of experience coupled with an influx of new ideas and different ways of thinking that stimulates continuous growth.
We are dedicated to the health of Manitobans by promoting excellence in the practice of infection prevention and control. Our members play a critical role in safeguarding the health of Manitobans – patients in hospitals, residents in long-term care facilities, children in daycares, students in schools, and people in the community. We hope that our website provides you the opportunity to connect with who we are and what we are about. Our passion is infectious!
