Thank you for visiting the CHICA Manitoba website! My name is Nina Williams and I have the honor of being the CHICA Manitoba president for 2010. I would like to extend thanks to the outgoing executive and committee members for your leadership and continued guidance. I look forward to working with the 2010 executive and committee members who continue to develop CHICA Manitoba to support the shared mission and vision of CHICA Canada and our Manitoba membership.
We are fortunate that we have members from across the province of Manitoba. Our membership includes professionals in Long Term Care, Acute Care, Tertiary Care, Rehabilitation, Public Health, Continuing Care, Laboratory Services and Industry from urban and rural settings. Our members are committed to promoting excellence in the practice of Infection Prevention and Control to safeguard the health of Manitobans and visitors to our province.
Networking with such a diverse and knowledgeable group is one of the benefits to joining our chapter. We offer education sessions at each of our monthly meetings as well as a chance to exchange ideas and interact with others who share our interests and practice concerns. Members work together to develop ongoing education sessions and a well attended local conference. Our members work diligently to increase public awareness and to strengthen our program and regional connections.
