Welcome to CHICA Southwestern ontario's website!

Beginning in 1981 as a network of four hospitals, CHICA-Southwestern chapter now provides support to 145 members with geographic boundaries that spread to three LHIN regions.

Betty Bannerman Award of Excellence

Congratulations to Nancy Brown, the 2009 recipient of the Betty Bannerman Award of Excellence.

As a founding member of HUPIC, Nancy served as president for the first 5 years as well as sharing her skills in the treasurer role. She has provided outstanding support to CHICA SWO for the past 3 years in her treasurer/membership role. Working at the Wingham and District Hospital for the past 20 years, Nancy has been a valued member of the Infection Prevention and Control of Ontario Planning Committee, assisting in planning OHA conferences to promote IP&C education. She has also contributed her services as a resource in developing the Pandemic Planning Tool for Northern & Rural Hospitals.
