MOSAÏQUE AU CLAIR DE LUNE – The conference special event will be held on Wednesday, June 4, at the Hyatt Regency Montreal.  This will be a beautiful gala with the sophistication and ambience of Montreal by night.  Enjoy a cocktail, a wonderful dinner, friends and new acquaintances, and entertainment by The Vintage Band.  Tickets are $75 each plus GST (plus QST for Quebec residents).  Tickets are limited so be sure to order yours now.

SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION – All education sessions will have simultaneous interpretation.  The language of the presentation will be published in the final program available on-site.  Head sets will be available at the Palais des Congrès in a location close to the education area (exact location TBA) A credit card will be required as a damage deposit on the headset. Poster sessions will be presented in the language of the presenter. 

WALK FOR A WIN – Each attendee will receive a pedometer (sponsored by Cardinal Health) and instructions on keeping track of the distance traveled between  hotels and Palais des Congrès.  Look for the contest instructions in the conference tote bag.

Room Rate: Single/Double - $159 - These rates are subject to the lodging tax of 3% per room, per night, federal GST (5%) and provincial QST (7.5%). Reservation code: CHI.

The room block is for the nights of May 31-June 4. Because the Grand Prix is in Montreal starting June 6, there can be no extension on room reservations unless you are able to stay an additional 3 days and pay the regular rate of $350.

RUN FOR IFIC 2008 - The Third Annual 5K Run/2.5K Walk for IFIC will take place on Monday, June 2 at 6:30 am, leaving from the Palais des Congrès. More information on the route will be provided at a later date. Start gathering your pledges for this very worthy cause. Proceeds of the Run are used to support the scholarship program of the International Federation of Infection Control to assist practitioners from under-resourced countries to attend the annual IFIC Education Conference. Pledge Forms are available at www.chica.org and www.aipi.qc.ca.
