• Best Practices for Infection Prevention and Control Programs in Ontario
• Infection Control Team Communications campaign developed in the UK to promote hand hygiene and prevention of HAIs.
• The Influence of Surveillance and Control Activities on MRSA, VRE and CDAD Rates in Acute Care Hospitals: RICH Outcome Study   Hospitals that participated in the RICH survey were asked to supply infection rates for the period of time covered in the survey. • Professional Practice Standards for Infection Control (2008)   These standards have been developed by CHICA–Canada and APIC to provide a written reference from which regulatory and accrediting agencies can define infection control competency.
• Requirements for Infrastructure and Essential Activities of Infection Control and Epidemiology in Hospitals: A Consensus Panel Report (1998) Assessment of needs for a healthy and effective hospital-based infection control and epidemiology program.
• Resources for Infection Control in Canadian Acute Care Hospitals (RICH Survey)  Cross-Canada survey assessing infection control resources in acute care hospitals. This survey was presented at 2001 Conjoint Meeting (CHICA, CACMID & CIDS) in Victoria, BC and was published in the American Journal of Infection Control in August, 2003. • Staffing requirements for infection control programs in US health care facilities: Delphi project (AJIC/APIC)  Abstract from AJIC journal promoting 0.8-1.0 ICP per 100 acute care beds. Excellent resource for making that business case!
